I decided that we needed to schedule time for creative things. The kids are plenty creative on their own in their free time, but I decided that on Friday afternoons, instead of the normal reading time, they would have time to do things that they want. It has to be somehow educational, or at least "creative". Today Nick worked on his woodcarving, Joey started a pop-up book, Rebecca and Samantha drew pictures. Here's Samantha's:
