Happy Birthday to Joey

Sunday we celebrated Joey's 11th birthday. So, the grandparents came up, and Joey picked the same old birthday meal almost everyone seems to pick around here---lasagne, garlic bread, and salad. After that, it was time to sing happy birthday to the birthday boy. Make a wish!
Then, while the Buster Bar Ice Cream Cake softened up a bit, it was time to open the presents. One of the benefits of many siblings, is, in addition to the usual presents from parents and grandparents and aunts and uncles, you also have many siblings to buy you presents!!
After the ice cream cake, we all sat around digesting and visiting and Joey played with all his new stuff--with the ever-present help of Jackson, of course.

"I had an awesome birthday!!!," said the birthday boy. Yeah, life is good in the Houseful of Blessings.

Today's fun

We just love to have Saturday adventures....which partly explains why we never get everything done around here that we should......but, oh well.
Today our travels took us to the Amador Flower Farm, in Plymouth, which turned out to be a really neat place. There was a corn maze, and a little hay maze, lots and lots of pumpkins, farm animals, and the "tram", which was Jackson's favorite part. There was also free ice cream and free cookies for the kids.
The kids said "today was a good day", and the only money we spent for the whole thing was a buck, for these cute little beauties. :-)

Yep, we know how to have fun in the houseful of blessings. :-) Tomorrow we get to have more fun, cause we are celebrating Joey's birthday. Yea!

Short but sweet weekend

We enjoyed it while it lasted, and now Cara is back at CBU til Thanksgiving, and we are back to hitting those books. Funny how quiet this house is without Cara.

Questions and comments of my 5 year old--and this was all within about 10 minutes while tucking him in tonight....

Is God rich?

Does God have any barns?

I wonder what it's like in Heaven. I wish I had a book that showed me.

God loves everyone, right?

If I get struck by lightening, will I die?

God is with me right now, right? But I can't see Him.

How will God take me up to Heaven, when it's time to go? Will He reach down with His hand?

Can I take my toys to Heaven when I go?

How come some people don't want to follow God?

Where is Hell? I think it's down somewhere.

Does Heaven have an edge?

Where does Satan live?

Dear Lord,
I don't have the answers to all of his questions, but please help me to lead this little heart to you!

Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. Proverbs 14:1
